Al Louis Haigler
Mr. Haigler, 71, of 428 Leland Street, Charlotte, died October 26, 2009 at Presbyterian Hospital. A native of Gaston County, he was the son of the late Curtis Franklin and Verler Williams Haigler, and brother of the late Nick Haigler, Earl Haigler, Mary Burch, Frankie Anthony, and Ramona Earney. He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma 'Faye' Alexander Haigler. Mr. Haigler was a loving, caring and giving father and grandfather. He was a friend to everyone and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include a daughter, Sherry Buttery of Charlotte, 1 grandchild, Emily Buttery; three sisters, Hiwathia (Billie) Glover of Charlotte, Cecil Ritch of Charlotte and Shirley Stewart of Concord.
A funeral service will be held 12:00 noon Wednesday at Woodlawn Funeral Home with Rev. Shannon Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 12:00 Wednesday prior to the funeral.
