AGE 90 YEARS
UNITED STATES ARMY VETERAN
Sanford L. Mingle Jr., of Flemington, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2020, at UPMC Susquehanna, Williamsport. He was a son of the late Sanford L. and Helen (Embick) Mingle Sr.
Junior was a 1947 graduate of Sugar Valley High School. He proudly served in the United States Army for six years during the Korean Conflict. On Oct. 29, 1957, he married his love, the former Helen M. Lohman, with whom he shared 62 years of marriage.
Junior was employed by the Silk Mill and then Hammermill Paper Company until his retirement. He attended the First Church of Christ, Flemington.
Junior enjoyed woodworking, fishing, reading and doing crossword puzzles. He was also a fan of NASCAR. Most cherished, though, were the times spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Helen M. Mingle of Flemington, he is survived by four daughters: Debbie (Ken) Hoover of Levittown, Kathy (Tom) Sox of Lock Haven, Sharon (Mike) Kleese of Flemington, and Laurie (Jeffrey) Conrad of Forest Hill, Md.; two siblings; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by six siblings.
