Michael R. Aumiller, 65, of 118 Field Lane, Milroy, passed away at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 11, 2020, at his home.

Born June 8, 1955, in Lewistown, he was the son of Robert L. Aumiller Jr., who survives in Milroy and the late Janice (Paige) Aumiller. He was united in marriage to Cindy (Schaaf) Aumiler, who resides at their home.

He is also survived by a son, Todge C. Aumiller and companion, Adrienne Vernon, of Atlanta, GA.

Mike was a 1973 graduate of Kishacoquillas High School and a 1978 graduate of Shippensburg University. He was a retired Pennsylvania State Trooper with an expertise in ballistics. He was stationed at the Ridgeway and Lewistown Headquarters.

He was a member of the Lewistown Lodge #203 F&AM. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, family and local history, watching wildlife and feeding the birds. He loved his four dogs, which he affectionately called his ‘fur bags’, and his cat. Mike was a very social person who loved to talk and be around people. He was a friend to all.

His memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at Grace United Methodist Church, 101 Logan Street, Lewistown, with Pastor Dick Williams officiating.

Following the service, there will be a light luncheon served and a time to greet his family and share remembrances.
