Mrs. Elizabeth Galt Allee Harbin passed away on Friday February 1, 2002 at Westminister Oaks Health Center in Tallahassee, Florida. Elizabeth was born in Springfield, Missouri and is the daughter of the late Matthew H. and Bertha M. Hansell Galt.

Elizabeth was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Phi Alpha Theta Honorary History Society, PI Gamma MU Social Science Honorary Society and PI Beta PHI Social Fraternity. She graduated summa cum laude from Drury College in Springfield, Missouri and continued her studies in social science as a Franco American Exchange Fellow at the Sorbonne in Paris, France.

On May 14, 1940 in Springfield, Missouri Miss Elizabeth Galt and James William Allee were married. From this union two children were born one son, Dr. J. Galt Allee from Tallahassee; one daughter, Mrs. Sidney Allee Miller from Herman, Missouri. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband. James William Allee who died in 1988.

On May 24, 1991 in Jefferson County. Florida Mrs. Elizabeth Galt Allee and James Edwards Harbin were married. Elizabeth was preceded in death by James Edwards Harbin who died in 1994.

In addition to her children, Elizabeth was survived by one step-son, Matthew Harbin from Havana and three grandchildren. James Allee from Athens Georgia, Dr. Julie Allee from Atlanta, Georgia, Mrs. Patricia Burke from St. Louis, Missouri and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be held at Roselawn Cemetery.
