NEWPORT NEWS - Oddie G. Boyd, 76, died Monday, March 6, 1995, in Riverside Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Meadows of Dan, Va., and a Peninsula resident for 55 years.
Mr. Boyd retired from Amoco Oil Refinery in 1978 after 22 years of service. He was a member of Schoolfield Church of the Brethren. Mr. Boyd was a member of the Bremond Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M. No. 241.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel R. Boyd; his son, K. Stanley Boyd of Hampton; his sisters, Hazel D. Mitchell of Pelham, N.C.; two brothers, Adrian A. Boyd and Archie L. Boyd, both of Pelham, N.C.; and one granddaughter, Erin Gray Boyd of Hampton.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday in Mountain View Cemetery, Danville, Va.
