Andrew Jackson Connelly was born to John F. Connelly and Sarah Ann Shillingsburg Connelly. He married Sarah Ann Catharine Baltzell on September 17, 1865 at the United Brethren Church in Baltimore City Maryland. They had two children, a daughter Mary Connelly born about 1866; and a son William Baltzell Connelly born March of 1871. Andrew died at the age of 32. He was a brakeman on the B&O Railroad. On his day of death, while engaged in coupling some railroad cars at Locust Point, he was crushed between 2 cars and received injuries that resulted in his death. His death was about 2 hours from the time of injury.
