My Great-Great Grandmother

Anna Catharina Frantz was the wife of Frederick Wehunt. Her first two children were born in Littlestown, York County (now Adams), Pennsylvania. Her other children were born in Rowan County (now Davie), North Carolina. After the death of Frederick Wehunt in Rowan County, North Carolina, she married the widower Andrew Abee in Lincoln County, North Carolina May 1, 1809. She moved with him to Burke County, North Carolina where she died in 1830.
All her children left North Carolina and moved to Georgia around 1833, except for her son, John Wehunt, who stayed in Burke County, North Carolina with his mother. After he was grown, John Wehunt returned to Lincoln County, North Carolina and married. He acquired his land holdings from his second wife's mother and her grandparents (The Kistlers), his second wife being an only child.

The cemetery at Smarts Grove Church in Burke County, North Carolina was originally just the Abee Family Burial Ground.
