Clarke Williams Adair, Jr. of Winder, GA passed away on June 2, 2017 after a brief illness. Mr. Adair was born on November 26, 1940 and was preceded in death by his mother, Doris DeVane Adair, and his father, Clarke Williams Adair, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara Simmons Adair; one daughter, Alison Adair Drummond; one son, Ross Clarke Adair and wife, Kim; two grandsons, Joshua Drummond and wife Yu Lia; Reed Adair; two granddaughters, Lainey Drummond Braatz and husband Gerry; and Emma Adair. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Zoey and Rhalyn Braatz, and Victor Drummond; two sisters, Joyce Adair Barrett and husband Scotty; Molly Adair Radford and husband A.J., as well as two nephews and three nieces. Clarke graduated from Quitman (GA) High School and attended the Georgia Institute of Technology. He served in the Georgia National Guard for 12 years. Clarke grew up working with his father in the family's concrete business, Adair Sand & Gravel, and took it over upon his father's death. That experience became the foundation of his own packaging manufacturing company, Riada Equipment Limited, that has operated as an innovative, successful family business since 1984. The Adair family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the staff of Northeast Georgia Medical Center (5th floor) of Gainesville, GA and Braselton, GA. and the hospice workers of the Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center. The love and care shown to Clarke and his family was extraordinary and, therefore, contributions in his memory can be made to Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center Love Light. www.nghs/love-light.
