The father of Aaron Baker was a Jacob Baker. I have little information on him, but he married Rebecca Baker, who was a daughter of John Samuel Baker (1729-1819) and Ann Barbara (Kost?) (1749-1816). Jacob Baker and Rebecca Baker were married about the year 1807. They moved from near Keedysville or Sharpsburg, Maryland, to Fairfield County, Ohio. At least several of their children appear on the records of Fairfield and Perry Counties, Ohio. Of their children, a daughter married a man by the name of Pennel and settled in Van Wert, Ohio; a son settled in the town of Celina, Ohio; another son (Samuel, I believe) lived in Fairfield County, Ohio. My great-great grandfather moved on to Montgomery County, Ohio. Again, as I do not have my records with me, except for the dates of the ancestors in my direct line, I am giving this from memory. I have never located any death records for Jacob Baker and his wife Rebecca Baker.
