Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel V. Greenan, 67, of 635 East 89th, who died suddenly in her home last Thursday night, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 10, from a chapel at 9108 Cottage Grove.

Mrs. Greenan and her husband, Thomas F., 76, a retired Surface Lines conductor, marked their 50th wedding anniversary on Tuesday, Jan. 4. and were planning an open house for friends and relatives Sunday, Jan. 9.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, Francis T.; a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Dunn; and four grandchildren.

9108 Cottage Grove Street is the former home of Zimmerman Funeral Home in the Chesterfield neighborhood. At some point in the late 60's the owners sold it to the church due to changing racial demographics at the time.

Burial location based on St Mary Cemetery being the largest Catholic cemetery serving southern Chicago and the closest Catholic cemetery to the Zimmerman Funeral Home, under seven miles due west of the funeral home.
