DIES FROM PARALYTIC STROKE

William P. Sharps, aged 59, who lived on Eighteenth avenue, between Humboldt and Lafayette street, died at the county hospital last night at 7 o'clock from the effects of a paralytic stroke. Mr. Sharps is the father-in-law of Harry Cox of engine company No. 8, and was taken to the hospital at 1:15 o'clock yesterday morning as an unknown man. He was found in an unconscious condition a little while before that hour on Washington avenue, between Seventh and Eighth streets, where he had been employed as a watchman for Contractor Peters. For many years deceased lived in Golden, and Monday morning at 11 o'clock the remains will be shipped to that city for burial. Mr. Sharps leaves two married daughters, Mrs. Harry Cox, Mrs. John Nichols; Jr., a single daughter. Miss Ida Sharps, and a son, Frank Sharps, besides a widow.
