She taught for 5 years in a one-room school in Nebraska before moving to Indiana in 1935. She graduated from Manchester College in 1937 and taught in the Wolcottville School system for 14 years. She Married Maynard Fiandt and moved to Lansing, Michigan in 1950. There she began working as a teacher for the Good News Clubs for Child Evangelism Fellowship. In 1961 they moved to Sebring, Florida, and she started teaching clubs there. In 1962 her husband Maynard died.
She attended the Child Evangelism Fellowship Institute and became a director of the program in Sebring, Florida. She then became an instructor for teachers in Child Evangelism Fellowship and worked as an instructor in all 50 states and traveled to 120 countries helping directors and missionaries in training classes until 1997 when her health began to fail and she retired. Even then she lived with her guardians, Skip and Betty Spaulding and attended classes with them in their work as the state director of New Mexico. She was a member of the Grace Bible Church of Warrenton, MO. Preceding her in death is her husband, brother Lloyd Voigt, and a nephew Kent Day.
She is survived by her sister, Birdena Day of Bluffton, sister-in-law Dorothy Voigt, Nieces and Nephews; Bill Day and Joyce Accavallo both of Bluffton, Margaret Shannon and Katherine McCormick of Loveland, CO., Barbara Voigt of Hawaii, Kenneth Voigt of Bellville, Michigan and eleven great nieces and nephews and five great-great nephews and nieces.
