Was first married to John Rutherford Bean in 1899. Second marriage was to Robert Walter Powell (1913-1916) After Mr. Powell's death in 1917, she moved to Columbia, SC with step-daughter, Annabelle, and moved in with her daughter, Mrs. Charles (Sadye) Davis, in 1920. A gentle, sweet lady.

Powell Services Will Be Friday
Fueral services for Mrs. Candas Bryson Powell will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. in Dunbar Funeral Home, Gervais Street Chapel, conducted by the Rev. R. Archie Ellis, D. D. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be W. L. Shipley, O. L. Shoenselt, Browne Pennell, John M. Gasque, E. T. Vinyard and T. M. Heron.

Mrs. Powell, 87, of 1400 Fairview Ave., widow of Robert W. Powell, died it her home Wednesday afternoon after an illness of two years.

She was born in Balsam, N. C., a daughter of the late Thaddeuasand Hannah Ensley Bryson. She had lived In Columbia since 1920. She was member of the First Baptist Church and the Builders Bible Class.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Sadye Davis, Columbia; a sep-daughter, Mrs. H. R. Annebelle) Abrams, Aiken; 3 step-sons, R. W. Powell and J. C. Powell, both of Johnston; a number of grandchildren, including Mrs. Richard (Ann) Wilder, Riverton, N. J., and Mrs. Carl (Lucile) Niggle, Columbia and a sister, Mrs. L. W. Crawford, Silver, N. C..
