The Alderson Advertiser gives the following account of the death of Mrs. Malinda Gwinn at Lowell:
Mrs. Malinda Gwinn, aged 73 years, who resided at Lowell, died at the home of her step-son, Mr. S Fletcher Gwinn on Wolf Creek at 6:10 o'clock yesterday morning. She had been at the home of Mr. Gwinn for about a month and was ill during most of the time. Deceased was born in Monroe county and was twice married, her first husband being Mr. Alexander Taylor of Red Sulphur Springs, to which union was born two children, one of whom survives - Mr. John Taylor of Spokane, Wash. Her second husband was the late Mr. Labon Gwinn, who also had been married before and is survived by two sons from his first marriage, Mr. S F Gwinn of Wolf Creek and Mr. J W Gwinn of Anderson, Ind. Four children of the second marriage survive - Mrs. Maggie Straith of Richmond, Mrs. Jennie Eggman of Anderson, Ind., Mrs. Bettie Eggman of Anderson, Ind., and Mr. Mason Gwinn of Lowell. Mrs. Gwinn had been a member of the Presbyterian church for over 5 years and her funeral will occur this afternoon at 1 o'clock from the Riverview Presbyterian church conducted by Rev. J W Holt.
