Clifford "Tiff" Ramon Garcia Passed away unexpectedly on Sunday September 10, 2017 while listening to music and enjoying the view from the deck of his Novato home. He was 79. He is survived by his wife, Gayle of 47 years, and children Jubal, Raina, and Reuben Garcia; and grandchildren Sean R., Evan S., Abigayle E. Ortiz-Garcia, and Jameson D. Silvis; Predeceased by his parents Jose and Ruth Garcia and brother, Jerome Garcia. A native of San Francisco, Tiff attended Epiphany Grammar school and later Balboa and Sequoia High Schools. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He moved with his family to Marin County in 1970 and retired at age 65 from Grateful Dead Merchandising. He was a Renaissance man who enjoyed art, music, and classic cars. He loved animals, playing blues guitar, and creating art. He was also a Giant's and Warriors's fan. He is remembered foremost as a loving husband, father, grandfather "Pops", and friend. Friends are invited to a visitation on Sunday Sept. 17 at 6:00pm, followed by a Vigil service at 7:00pm at Valley Memorial Park Funeral Home, 650 Bugeia Ln. Novato, CA. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday Sept. 18, 2017 at 11:00am at Our Lady of Loretto Catholic Church, 1806 Novato Blvd. Novato, CA. Inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Okizu Foundation or In Defense of Animals. Arrangements by Valley Memorial Park Funeral Home, 415-897-9609.
