Canellas, Bernard F., Sr., on Friday, September 11, 2009. Our family's patriarch, Bernard F. Canellas, Sr. died peacefully at Memorial Hospital West at the age of 74. Bernard was born in Dehue, WV. Raised his family in Oxon Hill, MD, later moving to Waldorf, MD. He retired from the Uniformed Division of the U.S. Secret Service and later the American Petroleum Institute and had settled in Weston, FL in 1997. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Deloris Spry Canellas his children Bernard F. Canellas, Jr. his wife Victoria MacKay Canellas and their children Samantha and Nicole; and Georgia Canellas Maddox her husband Robert Nweeia and their children Aubrey Maddox and Kyle Nweeia. Bernard is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Gabriel Canellas, Francis King, Joyce Neese (Mike) and John Canellas (Lisa). He is predeceased by his parents Gabriel Canellas and Agnes Biggs Canellas. A Memorial Service was held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 15 at West Broward Community Church located at 17950 Griffin Road, Southwest Ranches, Florida.
