Mr. Gervais was born in Red Lake Falls, Minn., was raised and educated in Grano, N.D., and moved to Yakima in 1931. He was a mechanic at Libby Cannery for 35 years.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Mary Gervais of Yakima; a son, Ken Ackerman of Yakima; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Paul's Cathedral. Concluding service and burial will follow in Terrace Heights Memorial Park. Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home, Yakima, is in charge of arrangements.
