Beatrice Pond, 90, of Cleveland, MO, passed peacefully on June 23, 2020.

Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 25, 2020 at the Louisburg Chapel, with the
Rosary prayer at 7:00 p.m.

Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 26, 2020 at Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church Wea, Bucyrus, KS. Burial to follow at Queen of the Holy Rosary Cemetery.

Beatrice was born November 14, 1929, to the late Domingo and Alvarina (Araujo) Sylvia, in Fairhaven, Mass. She was married to Joseph Pond for 67 years.

She was a Den Mother for nine years in Cub Pack 56, at St. Joseph’s Church and was the first woman awarded the Silver Fawn Award for Distinguished Service to Boyhood by the Cachalot Council, Boy Scouts of America. Beatrice was a city clerk in Americus, KS., for twelve years. She was a member of Queen of the Holy Rosary Wea Altar Society and a “Queen Quilter” for the church.

Beatrice is survived by her husband, Joseph, her seven children, Stephen, Michael, Jeffrey, Christopher, Joseph Jr., Cynthia, Susan, her sister, Elizabeth, 13 Grandchildren and four Great Grandchildren.
