Wanda was a member of Delta Beta Chi Sorority, Delta Beta Chi Sorority, Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, Daughter of the Republic of Texas; and Order of the Eastern Star.
Wanda was married to Garlen Frix of Brownwood, Texas. The sweethearts taught at the Van Dyke School in Comanche, Texas. They moved to Mojave, California where he became superintendent and she was the home economics teacher. After 30 years in the Mojave Unified School District, the couple retired in Austin, Texas where they both were avid golfers.
Wanda W. Frix is survived by her sister, Patsy Mears of Kyle, Texas; Curtis Wilhelm of Harlingen, Texas; nieces, nephews, and cousins. Wanda was a member of the First Baptist Church in Buda, Texas.
