Charles Berkenbile, 91, of Celina and Dallas, Texas passed away June 15, 2020 in Southlake, Texas of Alzheimer's and Parkinson's Disease. He was born July 7, 1928 to Charles Oscar Berkenbile and Alma Curry Berkenbile in Hennessey, Oklahoma.

He married Joyce Sue Noel on January 27, 1950 in Dallas, Texas. He was a union electrician for 65 years. He was a member of IBEW Local 59. He served in the Navy from 1945-1947 as a radio operator. At the age of 17 he joined his brothers fighting for his country in World War II, Charles was stationed in Hawaii. He was assigned to the USS Furse and witnessed the Bikini Island nuclear testing of bombs that ended the war.

Survived by his daughters, Judith Ann McMeekan, Kathryn Ann Emmett, son, Stephan Charles Berkenbile, sisters, Aileen Self, Juanita Howard and Irene States, brothers, Delmar, Hollis and Leland Berkenbile, six grand children and three great grand children. Preceded in death by his wife of 58 years and all his siblings and their spouses.
