Mrs. Cross was born Sept. 12, 1896 at Blairsburg, Iowa. She moved to Banner County with her parents in 1907 and attended Twin Tree School in Banner County. On Sept. 22, 1917, she was married to John R. Cross at Kimball. The couple had lived in Banner County since their marriage.

She was the honorary past chief of the Knights of Pythias Lodge of Harrisburg.

Survivors include her husband; four sons, John Bud and Sam D., both of Harrisburg, William of Kimball and Terry J. of LaGrange, Wyo.; four daughters, Mrs. Jess Hottell and Mrs. Delbert Dykes, both of Harrisburg, Mrs. Robert Lamm of Gering and Mrs. Floyd Soule of Kimball; one sister, Mrs. Flossie Wensky of Powell, Wyo.; and 20 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

One brother and three sisters preceded her in death.
