Later, Frank moved to Northborough with his wife where they lived for many years. There he became a well known barber who owned and operated Frank's Barber Shop for over 25 years at several downtown locations until closing for good in 1985. He then worked for several more years as a Collections Agent in Westborough before retiring in the early 1990s. Active in town politics, he was elected to the Northborough Board of Selectmen for nine years during the 1970s and 1980s, serving for a time as Chairman, and ran unsuccessfully twice for State Representative of the 11th Worcester District against the late Leo R. Corazzini. He also served on various town committees, regularly attended town meetings, volunteered at numerous town events and was a mentor to many who entered the field of public service. In the mid 1990s, he was officially honored by the town of Northborough with a service award for all his years of various public service to the community. Frank was also a proud member of the Vincent F. Picard American Legion Post 234 in Northborough. After retiring, he lived in West Newton and then Hopkinton.
