Stroke Proves Fatal
Burton D. Clark, 58, who suffered paralytic stroke about two weeks ago while at the plant of the Contiental Can Company, Syracuse, where he was employed, died Wedesday evening, March 30, 1927 at his borne one mile west of Maple View.
The deceased was born on the farm where he died. He was the son of Jones and Ruth Clarke Clark. He was well known throughout this section, and had many friends.
Besides his wife, Irene Halsey Clark, he leaves one son Herbert Clark of View; two daughters, Mrs. Fordyce Fleming, of Richland; Mrs. Avery Dimon of Maple View, N.Y.; also a sister Mrs. George Emery of Mexico.
Funeral services were held from his late home Monday, April 4, 1927 at two P.M. Rev. Roswell B. Whitman of Bainbridge, N.Y., a former pastor of the church at Maple View, officiated. The floral offerings were many and beautiful. The bearers were Charles Wood, Aubrey Cone, James Stacy, Fred Harvey, Glen Marsden, Earl Marsden. Interment was in Maple View cemetery.

The funeral of Burton Clark was largely attended at his late home Monday. He had always been a resident of this place and had a host of friends who sympathize with the family in their sorrow.
