Michael L. Boutin Sr., 54, of Gladwin, died suddenly, Saturday, June 19,1999 at Tawas St. Joseph Hospital in Tawas. Born Aug. 16, 1944 in Wyandotte, he lived in Gladwin County since 1991 and previously lived in Taylor. Michael married Lorene (Ford) Boutin, Nov. 15, 1960 in Detroit. She preceded him in death in 1998. He worked in maintenance for Ford in Wood Haven, retiring in 1996 after 30 years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and Knights of Columbus #5280.
He is survived by his fiance, Marilyn Vanover of Gladwin; one son, Michael L. Jr. and wife Melissa of Gladwin; one daughter, Sherry and husband Steven Nichol of Gladwin; his father, Lionel Boutin of River Rouge; two sisters, Wendy Morgan of Trenton, and Darlene Hughes; two brothers, Lionel Boutin of Pennsylvania, and Ronald LaBaque of River Rouge; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Violet Boutin.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday) at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gladwin with Rev. Father Julius Spleet officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. A scripture service was held at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin, was in charge of the arrangements.
