Lowell Leslie 'Cotton' Rader; Age 81, West Plains - Died at 5:45 pm, Sunday, February 19, 1989 in Ozarks Medical Center, West Plains, Missouri. Mr. Rader was born June 24, 1907 at Eminence, Missouri the son of the late E. M. (Sam) and Ada Pummill Rader. He received his education in the schools of Eminence, Missouri and the state of Delaware, and on May 30, 1934 was married at Eminence, Missouri to Lydia Florence Eddings. Mr. Rader was a longtime electrical contractor and founded Rader, Inc. of West Plains, and was a retired farmer having farmed in the West Plains area for many years. He is survived by his wife, Lydia Rader, of the family home, six children, Dr. Benjamin E. Rader and wife, Barbara, Lincoln, Nebraska, E.M. 'Mike' Rader and wife, Marge, West Plains, Missouri, Leslie E. Rader, of the family home; Howard S. Rader and wife, Linnie, Springfield, Missouri, Ada F. Cochran and husband, Mike, West Plains, Missouri and Martha 'Alice' Smith and husband, Danny L., West Plains, Missouri; nine grandhcildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Hulbert Rader and E. Merle Rader, both of Eminence; two sisters, Audrey Herren, Marshfield, Missouri and Elsie Quisenberry, Little Rock, Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Rader is preceded in death by his parents, one granddaughter, Tina Rader, one brother, Gilbert Rader, Sr., and one sister, Velma Loyd. He was of the Baptist faith and was a Charter member of the Berean Baptist Church of West Plains. Funeral services for Lowell Leslie (Cotton) Rader will be held at 1 pm, Wednesday, February 22, 1989 in the Rose Chapel of the Robertson-Drago Funeral Home with Reverend Bob Arnold officiating with interment in Howell Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Memorial contributions in memory of Lowell Leslie (Cotton) Rader may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
