WAS POPULAR ATTORNEY
Both Were Victims of Influenza and
Pneumonia—Left Two Little
Daughters,
Ward DeSilva, E3q., a well known Sullivan County attorney, died at his Liberty home on Thursday night of pneumonia] superinduced by influenza. Earlier In the year he had
been a victim of influenza and when the disease reoccurred he became an easy prey. On Tuesday, two days before he died, he was 34 years old.
His death is made doubly sad by the passing away of his estimable wife, who succumbed to the same disease only forty-eight hours later. Thus is Liberty sorely bereft. Thu3 has Sullivan County lost two of her splendid citizens, and like Rachel of old she refuses to be comforted. Two little lambkins—two and four years old— are left weeping for a father and mother-who answer not.
Ward DeSilva Is the third attorney to die in Sullivan County of influenza i n the last five months.
Mr. DeSilva was born at Great Mills, Delaware County, and was the son of William J. and Mary A. DeSilva.
