Glen Donald Dorothy,89 resident of Nelson Nursing home in
Fairfield, died at 2:40p.m. Saturday,Sept.23,2000,
The Funeral service will be held at 10:00a.m.Tuesday at
Behner Funeral Home with James Witherspoon Officiating.Burial will be in Spencer Cemetery,near Stockport.
Visitation began at 10:00a.m. today at the funeral home,where the family will be present from 7-8:30p.m.
Memorials can be maked to the Stockport Library.
Mr. Dorothy was born Jan.8,1911, in Stocport,the son of James I. and Ella Weaver Dorothy.He Married Dorothy I. Williams Dorothy,Oct.5,1932,in Galesburg,Ill.She died March 19,2000.
He lived most of his life on the farm in Cedar Township,northeast of Stockport in Van Buren Co.
He was a Farmer.He was Employed at the Iowa Ordnance Plant in Middletown during World War 11.His hobbies included hunting and fishing.
Survivors include two sons, Richard G.Dorothy of Richland and Ronald C. Dorothy of Fairfield:and 7 grandchildren: and 14 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and 5 brothers.
