Catherine Hyson Baker, 66, of Millville, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Aug. 24, 2007, at the South Jersey Healthcare Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Queens, N.Y., and was a lifelong resident of the Vineland and Millville area. She was employed by HNL Janitorial Service for more than eight years. She enjoyed going to the casino, collecting dolls and baby-sitting her grandchildren. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and friend.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Baker; her brother Henry "Sonny" Bayer; and sister Florence Conrow. She is survived by three sons, Carl Baker III and his wife Laurie of Florida, Donald Hyson and his wife Karen of Vineland, and Robert Hyson and his wife Cindy of Vineland; two daughters, Elizabeth Smith of Vineland and Kathryn Hyson of Vineland; 19 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her companion Allen Palmonari of Millville; and brother, Donald Bayer and his wife Roseann of Winslow Township.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 1019 E. Landis Ave., Vineland. Burial will follow in Siloam Cemetery, Vineland. Friends will be received from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the fupneral home.
