Phillips Leverich both were killed when the Germans torpedoed the S.S. Lusitania
on 7 May 1915 during World War I. The wife's body was later washed ashore at
Ireland but their daughter's body was never recovered. In addition to their
daughter, William and Rosina had two sons; William Edward Leverich III who
immigrated to England and died there in 1955. The second son, Isaac Phillips
Leverich, immigrated to New Zealand and died there in 1925.
