Carl A. Davis Sr., 66, of Dicks Creek Community, died Tues, Mar 20, 1990 in C.J. Harris Hospital. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Moody Funeral Home.
The Rev. Eddie Stillwell officiated. Burial was in Franklin Cemetery.
A lifelong resident of Jackson County, he was an Army veteran of World War II. He retired from Mead Paper Corporation-Sylva Division and was a member of Long Branch Baptist Church. He was the son of the late John B. and Gertrude Robinson Davis.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth "Lib" Clayton Davis; and two sons, Carl A. Davis Jr of Sylva and James Elbert Davis of Dillsboro.
