Bernadine Elizabeth Dickson, 95, of Springfield, died at 3:39 a.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at Villa Health Care - East. Bernadine was born in Anchor, IL on October 4, 1924, the daughter of Henry C. and Emma L. (Winter) Roesch. She married Bernard Dickson on June 30, 1946 and he preceded her in death on August 6, 1981.

Bernadine graduated from Anchor Community High School in 1942 and then worked for the State of Illinois Department of Public Health for 48 years. She retired in 2004 and during her career she assisted hundreds of ENT physicians with their license transfers. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. Bernadine loved working outdoors, baking pizzelles for Christmas and she collected plates.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Earl Roesch in 1988.

Bernadine is survived by her son, Alan B. Dickson of Springfield.

Graveside Ceremony: 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at Oak Ridge Cemetery with Pastor Greg Busboom officiating.
