Alvin was born July 6, 1925 to the late John and Catherine (Thommes) Janorschke. He grew up on the family farm near Lastrup, MN and attended District 127 Country School. He met the love of his life Rose Geschwill at a dance in Buckman. The two were united in marriage on June 5, 1945 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Buckman, MN. They have been married 73 beautiful years. Together they raised 11 children, along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Alvin farmed all his life. He also did some traveling, which included a trip to Nashville, Florida, and Oregon. Some of his favorite past enjoyments include hunting, fishing, and playing cards. He was a life long member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Buckman and the St. Michael’s Society. Alvin will forever be remembered as a very genuine, friendly and kind-hearted man. Visiting with him would brighten anyone’s day. Alvin was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
Alvin is survived by loving wife, Rose Janorschke; children, Alvin Janorschke Jr., Cheryl (Stanley) Czech, Janice Janorschke, Robert (Janice) Janorschke, Celeste (Dwight) Wiersgalla, Diane Zalasin, Marise (Rob) Wilhelm, Annette (Steve) Babich, Joan (Mark) Novak, David Janorschke and Christi Janorschke; siblings, Roman (Mary) Janorschke, Marilyn Boike, Rose Mary (Frank) Beert and Pete (Dianne) Janorschke; 26 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
Alvin was preceded in death by parents, John and Catherine Janorschke; sister, Lorraine Posterick; grandchildren, Sheldon Novak, Amber Novak, Mitchell Strempke, Collin Strempke, and Skylar Zalasin; and son-in-law, Steve Zalasin.
