WORCESTER Lori J. (Paulin) Maloney, 34 of 22 Herolt Rd, a devoted wife, mother, daughter and sister, passed away Monday August 1st in the University of Massachusetts Hospital after being stricken ill on her way home from work.
Lori was survived by her husband of 4 years Thomas H. Maloney; twin daughters, Erin, who joined her in heaven on October 27, 2006. and Katelyn, who joined them both in heaven on May 11, 2007; her parents, George E. and Judith A. (Rouillard) Paulin; a brother, Christopher J. Paulin and a sister, Kim Marie Paulin all of Worcester; a niece Shannon Paulin; her mother and father-inlaw, Thomas and Deborah Maloney of Medford.
Lori was born in Worcester and graduated from St Peter Marian High School and Becker Junior College.She worked as a nanny for various places for several years including Next Generation Childcare in Westboro, We Care in Southboro, and Bright Horizons at EMC in Hopkinton.
She was a member of Saint George's Church and the Mother of Twins Association. She taught aerobics at the Greendale YMCA.
Lori's funeral was held Saturday August 6th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. with a Mass at 10 am in St George Church, 40 Brattle St. Burial followed in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
I found Katelyn when I was researching my family and felt so bad, reading that she left this world so young. It troubled me that her precious mother and sister had both gone before her and wondered what happened. Was it a car accident? I had no idea. Then today, I decided to go to the cemetery to find 3 of my cousins. Lo and behold, the first graves I stumbled upon, were these precious twins and their dear mother. I KNEW God played a part in this and lead me to them, so I took pictures and came home. I set out to do some research as to what happened and the story that unfolded was heartbreaking.
