Thomas “Tom” Gordon Lewis, age 76, of Greenfield, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2020 from complications of Agent Orange while serving in Vietnam. He was born in Indianapolis on November 25, 1943 to Forrest G. and Marion L. (Crossley) Lewis. He graduated from Greenfield High School in 1961. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1964-1968. Tom married Sondra (Parsons) on March 25, 1972 in Greenfield.

He worked for Eli Lilly in quality assurance for 30 plus years before retiring. Tom was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. He was a loyal member of the McDonalds Coffee Club. He enjoyed playing golf and working in the yard. Tom most of all loved his family and grandchildren.

Tom is survived by his loving wife, Sondra Lewis of Greenfield; children, Neil (Christina) Lewis, Scott Blackford, and Donis (Kim) Inman all of Greenfield; five grandchildren, Kyle Barnes, Hailey Landers, Gabriel Inman, Jillian Russell, and Nicholas Lewis; sister, Randi (Jim) Throckmartin of Wesley Chapel, FL; and his beloved dog, Einar. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 10, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church - Fr. Severin Parish Life Center, 519 Jefferson Blvd., Greenfield, IN 46140. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow the visitation at 12:00 p.m. Father Aaron Jenkins will be officiating. Inurnment will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield. Please practice social distancing and masks will be required.
