Roger Eugene Godsey, 74, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2020 in Fayetteville.
He was born October 28, 1945, in Aurora, Missouri, to William Floyd Godsey and Velma Lucille Lawson Godsey.

Roger served eight years in the United States Air Force, with three tours of duty in Vietnam. He retired from twenty years of Dental sales/office design and worked for then retired from the Post Office after ten years. He was dedicated to his family and enjoyed cooking. He was an exceptional bowler and a fan of Razorback football. He was also fond of gardening and kept his yard meticulously landscaped. Roger was a wonderful father, husband, brother, grandfather and friend; and will be greatly missed by many.

He is survived by four daughters, Natalie L. Swatsenberg and husband Daniel, Lynn Byrd and husband Chris, Kim Henderson, and Becky Bowlin and husband Paul; eleven grandchildren, Destiny Swatsenberg, Aidan Godsey, Alyssa Bowen, Alec Swatsenberg, Megan Byrd, Harper Henderson, Joshua McFarlane, Andrew McFarlane, Tim Leos, Nick Leos, and Dylan Leos; three great grandchildren, Jaden Bishop, Weston Bowen and A’Raya Blackburn; one brother, John Godsey and wife Becky.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon K. Godsey; his son, AJ Godsey; and sister, Norma Green.

A celebration of life will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 13, 2020 at Heritage Funeral Home.
