Joseph was married to Beatrice H Crocker (1900–1989), the daughter of Queen "Victoria" (Poole) (Crocker) Carrigan (1873–1950) and her 1st husband James Robert Crocker (1869–1927).
He was 72 years old and married when he passed away on July 27, 1971.
