Larry D. Hadlock, 65, died Thursday, April 23,2009 at Hospice House of Reno County in Hutchinson, Kansas. He served in the U.S. Navy as an ATN3 in the Vietnam War, receiving the National Defense Medal, Republic of Vietnam Service Medal and the Navy Unit Commendation Medal.
He had worked as a grain merchandiser at the Garden City COOP in Garden City, Ks.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion posts in Garden City, serving in the color guard.
Survivors include his wife, Donna L. Hadlock of Inman; his son, Dale L. Hadlock of Lee's Summit, Mo.; two sisters, Ila Loree Edwards of Fowler, Ks. and Leah Burkhart of Dodge City, Ks.; a nephew, Steve (Carolda) Edwards of Fowler, Ks. and a niece, Karla (Larry) Demuth of Dodge City; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Opal Hadlock and Doris Elliott and a nephew, Mike Edwards.
Cremation took place.
Memorial services were held at St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Inman, Kansas at 11 A.M. on Saturday, May 2, 2009 with Dr. James D. Nelson officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice House of Reno County, Hutchinson, Ks. or American Diabetes Association both in care of Glidden-Ediger Funeral Home, McPherson, Ks.67460.
