Captain Harry E. Wolfe, No. 9 fire station, identified with the city fire department for more than 27 years, died yesterday. Mr. Wolfe was born in Altoona, August 4, 1870, a son of Samuel and Emily Isenberg Wolfe, both deceased. While a young man, he was employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad company as a carpenter. He had joined the volunteer fire department of this city, and July 4, 1905, entered the paid department of this city. He was made captain, November 1, 1910 of the No. 9 fire station. He was married to Clara Dannley, June 14, 1929, in this city. Surviving are his wife, a son, Clyde, at home; one step-daughter, Mrs. Irene Megahan, Altoona, and these brothers: Lewis, Ross and Walter Wolfe, all of Altoona; Calvin Wolfe, Washington, D.C. There are also 3 grandchildren.
