Betty and Chick resided in Albany for many years, where they were members of the First Baptist Church. He died on July 22, 1981.
She is survived by four daughters, Linda (LaVern) Isely, Monroe, Penny (Warren) Nipple, Douglasville, GA, Doris(Ben)Barrett, Candler, NC, Margaret (Mike) Brown, Richland Center, WI, two sons, James (Andree) Coole and John (Charlene) Coole, both of AZ, 22 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, a sister, Jean (Gerald) Amundsen of Longview, WA and long time companion Carl Larson of Port Orchard, WA. Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Lou Abelgore in 2005 and her grandson, Scott Nipple in 1969. A memorial service is tentatively planned for a later date in Albany.
