Laura Marie Alessio, former longtime resident of Richmond died Tuesday evening in a local rest home after a long illness. She was 79.
Laura was preceded in death by three brothers, Wyman, Stuart and James Baker, two sisters, Ione Duncan and Margaret Stevens, and a son, Frank Alessio.
She is survived by her husband of sixty years, John Alessio of Fairfield, a sister, Lorraine Woodford of Billings, MT, three sons, Michael of Napa, David of Vallejo and Dino of Fairfield, two grandchildren, David Alessio of Napa and Gina Alessio Shumard of Lancaster, and five great-grandchildren.
Vigil service will be held at 4pm Monday, January 17, 2005 at the mortuary. Funeral service will be held at 11am Tuesday, January 18, 2005, at the Civic Center Chapel of Wilson & Kratzer Mortuaries, 455 24th St., Richmond, CA 94804 (510) 232-4383.
