Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Oliver Brosset, age 71, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:30 PM, Sunday, September 2, 2007 in Feazel Chapel of First Baptist Church of West Monroe. Officiating will be Rev. Mark Fenn. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe.

Jerry was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He was a retired principal and served as a pastor preaching for small churches in the surrounding area, most recently Vienna First Baptist Church. He proudly served in the 82nd Airborne, a division of the United States Army. Jerry was a member of First Baptist Church of West Monroe, LA.

He was dedicated to ministering to the elderly as well as through Mercy Ministries.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mireille Froment Brosset; daughters, Laura Brosset Gulino and husband, Barry of Baton Rouge, Valerie Brosset Corcoran and husband, Chuck of New Orleans; grandchildren, Cole, Alexandra, and Victoria Gulino of Baton Rouge, LA and Kate and Audrey Layne Corcoran of New Orleans and numerous aunts and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Dr. James Stafford, Judge William Norris, Johnny Williams, Kenny Solley, Jerry Lazenby and Jerry Hicks.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Tarver, Harry Liner, Tex Kilpatrick, Whitty Hood and Joel Jones.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 1, 2007 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe.
