Death Of Former Trotting Owner
Mr. John Arron Ashwood, well known in Tasmanian trotting circles, died yesterday at the Royal Hobart Hospital in his 66th year. Ashwood some years ago was a prominent owner-trainer.
Perhaps the best horse he handled was the square-gaited mare Isabella, who was a good performer in the South, particularly on the roomy grass tracks.

ASHWOOD -On August 3, 1949, at Royal Hobart Hospital, John Arron, dearly beloved husband of Brenda Mary Ashwood of 15 Sunderland St., Moonan, aged 65 years. Requiescat in pace
