POLAND SPRING - William E. Taylor, 75, of the North Raymond Road, formerly of Auburn, died Thursday morning at the residence of his son John S. Taylor.
He was born in Auburn, June 18, 1909, the son of George and Mary Jane Mellelew Taylor. He was educated in the schools of Auburn and was married in 1931 to the former Juliette Raymond. She died in Lewiston in December, 1956. For a number of years, Mr. Taylor was an Auburn policeman and after that, for 20 years, was a technician with Northern Utilities of Lewiston, retiring in 1974.
He is survived by three sons, John G. "Bill" of Rosedale, Long Island, NY., Romeo M. of North Hampton, N.H. and John S. of Poland Springs; two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Campbell of Poland and Mrs. Alice Wilson of Presque Isle; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
TAYLOR - At Poland, September 13, 1984, William E. Taylor, age 75, Funeral services will be held from Memorial Chapel of Dillingham and Son at the convenience of the family. Interment in Oak Hill Cemetery, Auburn. At the request of the family, there will be no visiting hours.
