Wallace Brimer, age 81, of Abilene, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018 in Abilene.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 W. Pecan Street in Colman. Reverend Marty Akins will officiate the service. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home in Coleman.

He was born Wallace Harold Brimer on August 25, 1937 in Santa Anna, Texas to Jacob C. Brimer and Anna Mae Fletcher Brimer. Wallace graduated Centennial High School, and briefly attended Texas A&M University, and Howard Payne University. He married Chris Browning on April 11, 1958 in Valera. Wallace and Chris made their home in Ballinger for nineteen years, then moved to Stamford in 1977, and then to Abilene in 1991. He worked for West Texas Utilities, later known as AEP, and retired after 34 years of service.

He is survived by his wife Chris Brimer of Abilene; one son, Allan Brimer of McKinney; one sister, Glenda Bowman and husband Earl of San Angelo; one brother Billy Joe Brimer and wife Carol of Pecan Valley; and his extended loving Browning family.
