Martin Cecil, retired butcher and well known in Sandusky and vicinity, died Tuesday at 10:20 a. m.. at his home, 1215 Decatur st. after an illness of four months, aged 75 years, one month and seven days. At one time, Mr. Cecil was a printer.
Mr. Cecil is survived by his widow, formerly Miss Ellen Hopfinger of Port Clinton, two daughters, Mrs. John Guckert and Mrs. William Dahs, both of Sandusky; a son, Edwin, of Norwalk; a grandson; two brothers, Joseph, of Cleveland, and John, of Sandusky, and two sisters, Mrs. Theresa Hingerle and Mrs. Hannah Fox, both of Chicago.
The body was taken to the Frey Funeral Home and Thursday afternoon will be returned to the residence where friends may call.
The funeral will be held from the residence Monday at 8:30 a. m.. and at 9 a. m. from St. Mary's Church, with the Rev. W. C. Zierolf, officiating. Burial will be made In St. Mary's Cemetery.
