Alan Earl Beard, 48, passed away at his home on Wednesday, May 25, 2005 of natural causes. He was born on June 26, 1956 in Ogden, Utah, a son of Robert N. and Dorothy Lemon Beard. Alan worked at the Box Elder Sheriff's Department as a Deputy. He retired on February 1, 1999. He was a member of the LDS church. Alan enjoyed hunting, trap shooting and fishing. Surviving is one son, Robert of Brigham City; his mother, Dorothy of Willard; one brother, Jeffrey of Willard; two sisters, Ann Huss of Ogden; Jean Stanford of Las Vegas, Nevada. He was preceded in death by his father and by one nephew, Earl Clifford Beard. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City. Friends may call from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the funeral chapel. Interment will be in the Willard City Cemetery.
