Magdalene Elizabeth Troxell, wife of Allen Troxell, died at her home in Mulberry Wednesday afternoon at 1:20 o'clock. She had been afflicted for many years with cancer, which caused her death. She was the daughter of Adam and Susan Kellick and was born in Lehigh county, Pennsylvania, on March 5, 1858. On April 7, 1878, she was united in marriage with James F Burkhalter, who was killed two years later. On May 8, 1892, she was married to Allen Troxell, who, with a son, Harry Burkhalter, survives. Mrs Troxell is also survived by a granddaughter, Bertha Burkhalter; a sister, Mrs Charles Mitman, of Pettit; two half-brothers, Martin Brand, of Chicago and Roy Brand, of Tippecanoe county, and a half-sister, Mrs Ella Osterday, of Mulberry. Mrs Troxell was a life long member of the Trinity Reformed church and was an active worker in church circles. being interested in the Sunday school and church society. She was a woman of high character and was honored and respected by all who knew her. The funeral will be conducted from the Trinity Reformed church at Mulberry, Friday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Rev W J Sciberling, of the Zion Lutheran church, will deliver the sermon and will be assisted by Rev H E Moore of the Methodist church. Interment will be in the Fair Haven Cemetery
