Travis Wesley Belk was born on November 11, 1926 to Josie (Blankenship) and George Belk. He was the oldest of his four siblings, Lemuel (Pete), Barbara, Glen and Donna. Travis attended Sapulpa schools.

At 17 Travis met the love of his life, Juanita Brents at "The Dairy", an ice cream shop. He proposed to Juanita not long after, and married her on her seventeenth birthday in 1944.
Travis was drafted into the United States Army where he served as a Corporal in Korea and the Philippines. When he returned from his tour, he met his firstborn of three, Sandra Kay who had been born while he was overseas in 1945. Two years later he and Juanita welcomed their first son, Bobby Gene. In 1951 Roger Wesley completed their family.
Tavis was a very hard worker, and made many friends at all of the places he worked. He worked at Liberty Glass, Wickham Packing Company, and Harris Packing Company.
His most important role was a the best Husband, Dad and Grandpa in the world, though. Travis was the unlocker of cars with keys locked in them, chauffeur of sick kids needing to be picked up from school, hider of Easter eggs, hanger of Christmas cards and garland, frozen pizza fixer-upper, holiday table setter-upper, fishing lure picker (and re-picker once it got hung up), ski boat puller, and "Mr. B" the Mary Kay delivery guy.
Travis was an avid fisherman, and loved to camp with his family at Oklahoma Lakes Tenkiller and Keystone, and at Lake Dardanelle in Arkansas where you could find him every April and October once they retired.
Travis loved being outdoors, and loved to read a good book outside on a hot, sunny day. He also enjoyed playing games with his siblings, kids and grandkids, and played penny poker, Bingo and Dominoes at The Gardens [Sapulpa] with his nursing home friends and family.
When Travis moved to The Gardens in 2013, he considered that to be his new home and loved the staff and nurses like family. It was no secret they loved him too, and the loving care he received there was something he and his family always appreciated and was so thankful for.
Travis was a lifelong member of the Sapulpa Seventh Day Adventist Church. He had a beautiful reunion in Heaven when he entered its gates on December 15, 2019, joining his beloved wife Juanita, his son Roger, his great-grandson Dustin Phillips, and many of his dear friends and family members.
