Mrs. Elizabeth Abel Hammond, 72, of Winona, died February 14, 1999 in an automobile accident.
A member of First Baptist Church of Winona, she was a Life time member of Winona Jr. Auxiliary and a member of the Winona Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Carl Hammond, Jr.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17 at First Baptist Church of Winona with Rev. John L. Walker officiating and Rev. Eugene Banes assisting. Burial was in the Oakwood Cemetery.
She is survived by a daughter, Anne H. Austin of Winona; two sons. Harry C. Hammond of Ridgeland and Ronald L. Hammond of Winona; a sister, Eloise A. Babb of Marks; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Alan Boone, Dr. Louie Harrison, Buddy Pender, Bruce Branch, Jerry Flowers and Ryan Austin.
Honorary pallbearers were Mike Branch, Tommy Fisackerly, Robbie Hemphill, Greg Mullens, Dr. W.A. Middleton and Tee Golding.
