He was born October 30, 1901 at Bedford, Wyo., a son of Andrew Franklin and Elizabeth Rebecca Turner Hinck. He married Zella May Perkins on June 14, 1928 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
He has been a member of the LDS Church and served in various organizations in the church and was active in the scouting program. He retired after 20 years of service to the Lower Valley Power & Light Company in Wyoming. He then worked for Highland dairy in Jackson, Wyo., Shady Brook dairy in Brigham City, and for Ed Greenwall farm and dairy in Eden.
He worked as a professional cutter racing horse trainer. He was a member of the Bear River Racing association and All-American Cutter Racing Association of Star Valley, Wyo.
Surviving are his wife of Brigham City, six sons and one daughter: Franklin Neil Hinck, Star, Idaho; Lyman Leroy Hinck, St. Charles, Ill.; Harry K. Hinck, Brigham City; Arno R. Hinck, Hyrum; Vaughn L. Hinck, Idaho Falls, Idaho; Nolan Loo Hinck, Morgan; Mrs. Wayne (Georgia "Jo") Oliverson, Layton; 28 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother and three sisters: Rawla "Dude" Izatt, Emmett, Idaho; Mrs. Elizabeth Perkins, Smithfield; Mrs. Anne Johnson, Kearns; and Lily Peterson, Clearfield.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister: Rueben Hinck, George Izatt and Losetta Nield.
